Something to consider though is that as smart phones become more expansive and elaborate, the potential for young users increases. This would bring down the average salary and age of the user below 25 and under $75,000 annually. Not the end of the world, just means adaptations will need to be made.

Label Is as Label Does
During a recent class discussion in our Interactive Web Marketing class a partner and I were left to design a modern caricature of what we believed a modern Google user encompasses.
We had came to the conclusion that the average Facebook user was probably a zombie, or gang of them. Unique perspective aside what we were not surprised to discover was that the average Google user is between the ages of 25-35 and commands an average salary of $75,000 annually.
Google has become the juggernaut of online search currently having strong grasp of the market share at 67%. This is huge because a decade ago the market was highly saturated with gimmicky search engines (Jeeves should retire). This does also reflect the gross power and assets that Google is accumulating left right and center acquiring companies left, right and center.
My colleague and I chose to represent the masses with, well another version of the masses... zombies. We found most people that use Google have rather diverse job titles. Occupations ranging from lawyers to scientists use Google most frequently.
